Grapes: Cabernet Sauvignon 45% - Cabernet franc 27% - Merlot 28%.
Harvest period: From 9sh to 13th October 1997 with a meticulous selection of grapes bunches before crush began.
Vinification: Maceration in contact with the skins for 24 days, final alcoholic fermentation in small oak barrels, where also the malolactic fermentation occurs. Continued maturation in new small oak barrels for 15 months.
Bottling: 16th February 1999.
Bottling aging: 13 months before sale.
Description:
Color: Intense, very lively ruby red.
Nose: Very complex flavors. First, you can smell the fresh fruit flavors of red fruits. Followed by slight grass notes and then plum, blackberry, cherry. Next in the background red flowers, jam and finally vanilla, licorice, graphite and roasted coffee.
Taste: On the palate, the wine is complex and elegant with a pronounced fine, soft and full-bodied structure. There are notes of red fruits, mint, licorice, vanilla and toasted notes. Long lasting finish. Excellent aging potential.
