Merkki: Villa Franciacorta
The name Bianchi Roncalli, which originates from the owner of the company Villa, Alessandro Bianchi and his wife Ivonne Roncalli, was used for the first time in 1997 for a stock based on Cabernet Sauvignon.
After ten years this name has been revived for a limited edition (only 1,500 Magnum) of Barbera grapes. The result is an intense ruby red wine of great class, capable of surprising due to the intoxicating scent.
Origin: Lombardy - Franciacorta (Brescia)
Grapes: 100% Barbera
Production: Harvest in the autumn of 2007. Subsequently, fermentation and aging. Refinement for 18 months in oak barrels. Filling the end of July 2009.
From 2012 the wine is ready to drink.
Color: ruby red.
Nose: Delicate notes of spices and cherries.
Taste: Comprehensive, intensive, structured and complex.
Recommendation: Perfect companion for game, roasts and stews. Optimal with mature cheeses and cold cuts.
