CLASSIFICATION: Tuscan IGT Sangiovese
AREA OF PRODUCTION: The vineyards of the Castelvecchio estate, on the hills of Terricciola in the province of Pisa
VINEYARDS: Vine density of 2207 vines per acre (5434 vines/hectare), cultivated using the Guyot method
GRAPEVINES: A careful election of Sangiovese from the local “Profeti” and “Magra” vineyards
GRAPE HARVEST: All grapes are hand-picked and placed in small crates in which they are taken to the winery where they are promptly de-stemmed. The Sangiovese is harvested in the second half of September.
VINTAGE METHOD: Contained in steel vats under temperature control, fermentation occurs as a process of the indigenous yeasts, the steeping period lasting 10-15 days. The purification is completed in wooden barrels over a 12 month period.
ALCOHOL: 13%
PRODUCTION QUANTITY: 2000 bottles of 0,75 L
