Tasting Notes: Dense ruby red. On the nose, this Castello di Verduno red wine features all kinds of black cherries, plums, prunes and sour cherries. As if that wasn't already impressive, aging in large wooden barrels adds other aromas like sun-warmed rocks, vanilla, and black tea. Round and smooth.

Pairing: Chicken braised in red wine, Boeuf Bourguignon or goose breast with red cabbage with ginger and marjoram.
