Merkki: Casata Monfort

The vineyard is located in a particularly suitable area, on the slopes of Mount Calisio, at more than 500 meters above sea level, facing south-west. The Ora del Garda completes this favorable microclimate with ventilation that promotes the health of the grapes until the moment of harvest. Corylus, a fine, balanced wine, whose harmony is enhanced on the nose by the fragrance of the fruit and the characteristic hint of hazelnut. The balsamic notes are accentuated by the aging in wood. In the mouth it is delicately aromatic and with a pleasant freshness. The finish is long, slightly almondy. Elegant and refined wine.

The history of the Monfort Winery began in 1945 but it was only in 1965, with the purchase of the cellars of Palazzo Monfort, that the company expanded significantly.

Today, under the name of "Cantine Monfort", different product lines come to life: "Casata Monfort", Trento DOC and "Terre del Föhn": all marked by the territory and its potential. Of these, the "Casata Monfort" line is certainly the most valuable and elegant with the production of wines of great elegance and closely linked to the territory such as the Blanc de Sers Spumante Metodo Classico produced with valderbara, vernaza and nosiola grapes which is part of a project of recovery and vinification of native grapes. The Trento DOC line, on the other hand, includes the classic “Monfort” Classic Method sparkling wines, in the Brut, Rosè and Riserva Brut versions.

The vineyards are located in various areas of the Trentino region, all in particularly suitable terroir, which allow for the creation of excellent wines, such as the Rotaliana Plain, Vallagarina, Valle dell’Adige, Val di Cembra and Valsugana.
