Prosecco Superiore Brut "Prior" is a sparkling wine that summarizes the history of the Bortolomiol winery and the great contribution made by its founder Giuliano Bortolomiol to the wine renaissance of Valdobbiadene. It is in fact the Prosecco that inaugurated the Brut dosage in 1960, when still the only versions produced were Dry or Extra Dry. Its name indicates this primacy: prior means in Latin 'first', but also 'more important', and represents the pride of the cellar, the most important of the line of traditional vintage sparkling wines.
The "Prior" of Bortolomiol comes from Glera grapes grown in the hills of Valdobbiadene with great ecological and environmental sensitivity. In fact, the winery imposes a protocol called Green Mark on the winemakers responsible for the protection of the territory and biodiversity, as well as requiring respect and sharing of very precise technical choices aimed at obtaining the best quality. In the cellar, a team of expert oenologists prepares the sparkling base and supervises all production processes.
The Brut "Prior" is a modern and expressive Prosecco with a rich, fresh and fragrant profile. It has a beautiful bright straw yellow color and gives off aromas of fruit and white flowers, green apple, fresh hazelnuts, citrus fruits and aromatic herbs. The sip reveals softness, vivacity, freshness and good flavor. The fine, continuous and persistent perlage delicately caresses the palate, contributing to the balanced and lively taste tension. Given the low sugar dosage, this Prosecco shows a good gastronomic vocation and can be combined with appetizers and first courses based on fish or vegetables, but also fried or tasty fish.
