Lorenzo and Elena Accomasso, 2 people who have written the history of the Barolo, are so deeply rooted and local that they can be mixed up with the landscape. This kind of people are disappearing nowadays; and this is a worrisome thing, because wine is often seen only as a matter of business.
But Lorenzo and Elena consider wine the only result of their job.
Organoleptic characteristics: bright strapping, introverted at the smell, initially smells of black cherry jam, wilt rose, anise and mint, then it slowly acquires mineral perfumes, ferrous and balsamic.
Service and conservation: serve at 18-20 degree in ballon (wide wine glass), drink without any hurry.
Conserve in a cool and dark place, time is its best friend.
Try it accompanied to noble wild game.
