A great classic in the gin category, Navy Strength Gin has ancient origins. Long before it was possible to measure the volume of alcohol in a drink, the Royal Navy was faced with this problem: making sure that gunpowder remained flammable even if a gin barrel broke during transport. In the days of cannonballs and muskets, in fact, wet gunpowder was a death sentence in battle.

The "Navy strength" label indicated the safe brandy to be transported on Navy ships and was placed only on barrels that passed the empirical test: after dipping a few grains of gunpowder in the gin, an attempt was made to set them on fire. The Navy measure continued until 1890 and still today indicates a distillate with an alcohol content greater than 57.15%.

Transparent color. On the nose it is intense mainly juniper and floral notes, enriched by sensations of nuts, citrus and aromatic herbs. Full and elegant flavor, where the alcoholic load of a Navy Gin is felt immediately and well balanced by juniper in greater proportions than the classic Peter of Florence and the freshness of citrus botanicals.
