It is a more traditional format Gragnano, thought to be accompanied by rich sauces, substance. The shape is similar to that of ziti, but the diameter is greater. The candles are broken into two or three parts prior to being cooked. A perfect match is with the "genovese" (in all its variations ...) and the Neapolitan sauce.
