The Cinta Senese is an ancient rustic breed of fine pigs, which takes its name from its area of origin, the hills of the Sienese territory, and was probably already bred in Roman times.
The skin and bristles are black, except for the presence of a continuous white band that completely surrounds the trunk at shoulder height including the front limbs.
In the farm nestled in the valley that frames Mount San Savino, the puppies grow free to graze all day on their ideal soil where they find in abundance their most natural food.
The farmers take care of them with kindness and passion as the families of the farmers of the good old days did. The goal is for a harmonious wait for the growth of the animal to reach the ideal weight; the fine meats will then be processed by the farm's master charcuterie makers to make the best traditional Tuscan cold cuts.
