The Cru Scharzhofberger is located in a side valley of the Saar River. It is probably their most famous and climatically coolest vineyard, and is also rated in the Erste Lage (Best Vineyards) classification. At 6.6 hectares, RvK is among the largest owners of this Cru.
Tasting Notes: Honey yellow color; Lovely flavor of yellow fruits like dried apricots and an intense character of wild berries. Perfect acid structure, complex roundness in the mouth, great representative of its class. Infinite aging potential.
Pairings: Excellent with blue cheeses, desserts.
