The Cru Scharzhofberger is located in a side valley of the Saar River.
It is probably their most famous and climatically coolest vineyard, and is also rated in the Erste Lage (Best Vineyards) classification. At 6.6 hectares, RvK is among the largest owners of this Cru.

Tasting Notes: The perfume of this wine evokes perfectly ripe, honeyed, golden yellow Riesling grapes and a forest immersed in winter dew. On the palate a richness of fruit and abundant sweetness with aromas of overripe pineapple, prunes and candied dates. Rich fruity aromas linger on a very long finish, the setting for a typical Eiswein.


Pairings: Excellent with blue cheeses.
