Notes The Blanc de Craie of Champagne Henri Giraud is a Blanc de Blanc produced exclusively with Chardonnay coming from the Vallée de la Marne (55% from the grand cru of Ay) and from the Montagne de Reims, therefore without grapes from the Cote des Blancs.
These are villages with a terroir rich in chalk (Craie in French) which gives minerals and concentration to the wine. Furthermore, Champagne is produced from wines fermented in barriques from the Argonne forest and cement eggs.
All these reasons contribute to producing a Blanc de Blancs champagne that is much more structured than usual with elegant aromas of flowers, notes of peach and tropical fruits. On the palate it is intense with a marked sapidity. It is a bubble with which to dine rather than an aperitif. If left to age in the cellar after a couple of years from disgorgement (you will find it laser engraved above the label on the left side) it will evolve into a champagne with rich notes of honey and ripe fruit, with a creamy palate and hints of custard.
As with all the wines of Champagne Henri Giraud, by scanning the QR code on the back label it is possible to view the analyzes of the wine that certify the absence of pesticides.
