Glass
It is the perfect glass for structured, intense, aged or potentially suitable red wines; this type of wine undoubtedly needs to "open up" (or to develop its aromatic, intense and complex outfit at best) and this is made possible by the prolonged contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous size of the glass.
Temperature
18-20 ° C
Longevity
This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, properly stored, for at least another 7-8 years.
Pairings
Roast-grilled meat, aged cheeses, game
DESCRIPTION
In 1988 the VILLARS family buys the vineyards and the castle and since 1992 takes over the exploitation and vinification of the vineyard; with its 16 hectares of vines, Château Ferrière has one of the smallest vineyards of the Gran Crus Classés appellation. Today Claire VILLARS-LURTON is the architect of this renewal. Sensitivity to the environmental aspect is one of the prerogatives, therefore the certification from organic farming is being defined. Traditional concrete tanks are used in the cellar. The aging takes place in oak barrels for 18 months. The nose reveals aromas of ripe black fruit (currant and blackberry) and floral notes. A beautiful freshness, sharpness and aromatic precision. On the palate, the texture is harmonious, with enveloping and fine tannins. The fruit is pleasantly expressed and accompanies the wine in its length. A beautiful classic vintage.
