It had its origin in the same vineyard from which we had already bottled other wines of the Colheita single barrel category. It was a small vineyard located in São Vicente, on the north coast of the island of Madeira. Like all the wines made to date with grapes from that vineyard, this Boal shows exceptional acidity. Aged by the traditional Canteiro method, this wine was exposed to different temperatures in tanks “a” (warmer) and “e” (cooler), which allowed a moderate concentration, thus obtaining a good balance between acidity and sweetness. In July 2016, 670 bottles were filled, all individually numbered.

Golden colour. Exuberant bouquet of polished wood, caramel, honeyed, white sultanas, spices, notes of cedar and tobacco in the background. Still good complexity, with an elegant character, rounded edges and deep softness. Bittersweet finish, delicate acidity that gives rise to an extreme freshness.
