RolaPipa was born on the island of Pico, from ancient vineyards planted in the lava crust of lajido between black stone walls in the heart of the historical area where the landscape of wine culture is recognized as World Heritage by UNESCO.
It is a wine from traditional viticulture worked entirely by hand and produced in limited quantities with numbered bottles, the result of a unique combination of grapes, terroir, Atlantic climate and natural processing techniques. Endowed with a strong identity, it hands down the priceless genetic heritage of the ancient vines cultivated in this area since the times of the first human settlements. It is son of this island and integral part of its history.
Adega do Vulcão wines are born in the splendid naturalistic frame of the Azores archipelago and they speak about a magic relationship between nature and man.
Their volcanic origin gives the soils a variety of very specific characteristics related to the phase of volcanic activity that
of volcanic activity that generated them, from the volcanic crust, the so-called lajido, to sandy areas with ash deposits.
