Wormwood leaves and flowers are used to prepare a very high alcoholic percentage spirit with an anise aroma. The best assenzio is obtained by distilling an alcol macerate made up of artemisia absinthium mixed with many other herbs. It is excellent to prepare cocktails, adding sugar and water it becomes a gust digestif. An infusion of different plant parts removes snails from vegetable gardens.
